UCF NORTH FLORIDA EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Resident-Centered Training, Built for Real-World Emergency Medicine

UCF North Florida Emergency Medicine is built around progressive autonomy, broad clinical exposure, and individualized mentorship. Residents train in high-volume community emergency medicine while developing the judgment, procedural confidence, and adaptability to practice in any environment. The program is deliberately designed around resident growth — in the ED, in the classroom, and outside the hospital.

Curriculum

A systems-based curriculum combining focused didactics, simulation, small-group learning, longitudinal board preparation, and resident teaching.

Rotations

Build progressively greater autonomy across emergency medicine, pediatrics, critical care, trauma, EMS, ultrasound, obstetrics, stroke, and elective experiences.

Clinical Sites

Train across three primary clinical sites plus dedicated away experiences in pediatric emergency medicine, PICU, and trauma.

Resident-led scheduling, protected wellness time, longitudinal mentorship, mental-health resources, and a culture designed to support a sustainable career.

Simulation

Train in a dedicated simulation center with more than $500,000 in equipment, procedural trainers, high-fidelity simulation, and in-situ scenarios.
